Danzatrice di danza contemporanea, insegnante di storia della danza, teoria e tecniche coreografiche (composizione e improvvisazione).
Inizia gli studi di danza a Bologna e frequenta corsi e workshop in Italia e all’estero, approfondendo la tecnica classica e contemporanea anche presso la London Contemporary Dance School.
È laureata in Scienze dell’Informazione, in Filosofia e in Discipline Teatrali al DAMS dell’Università di Bologna. Da diversi anni realizza spettacoli e performance in sinergia con la musica, la poesia, la pittura e il teatro, dedicandosi all’interpretazione e alla coreografia.
Ha insegnato propedeutica per la danza classica e sbarra a terra, danza classica e contemporanea per adulti. Si occupa anche di seminari ed eventi relativi alla comunicazione e all’espressione corporea, cercando la coniugazione con altri artisti e formatori per unire l’aspetto spettacolare della danza con quello comunicativo e didattico.
Emilia Sintoni is a contemporary dancer and choreographer, teacher of dance history, choreographic theories and techniques. Born in Ravenna (Italy), she studied dance in Italy and abroad, following courses and masterclasses of classical and contemporary techniques at several centers. She graduated in Information Science and in Philosophy and she took a post degree in Theatrical and Dance Studies at the University of Bologna. She attended to 5 year course about Human Resource Management (Interpersonal communication and Team working) and to 3 year course about Perspective Metodology. She has teached ballet to children and adults, contemporary dance to adults, also as private coach. Since 2000, she has created several performances and artistic projects in collaboration with other arts (music, painting, poetry…). She performed at the ERFestival (dancing pieces of the pianist A. Padova and the Partitas n. I e II of J.S. Bach for solo violin with M° P. Hommage); she danced on extracts from Odissea and Iliade, red by the poet and writer F. Costantini in Ravenna in several shows connected to Art and Mosaics. She was admitted in 2007 at Choreographic Collision, the worskshop for new choreographers organized at the Biennale Danza in Venezia by Ismael Ivo.
In 2007-2008 she created choreographies and put on the shows Evos – A world of men and women – with the pianist M° S. Malferrari and Camouflages – Conversations for voice, music and dance with Jorge Luis Borges – with Paola Contavalli. In 2008 she created the project of dance and music Solotango with the quintet Tangocinco and the tenor Mariano Speranza from Buenos Aires. She took part to “Festival dei Misteri” in Campobasso with “Ensemble Musica di Corte” conducted by M° Bagliano. Since 2008, with the cellist M° Piovano of Accademia of Santa Cecilia (Roma), she has been dancing Bach Cello Suites n. 2 e n. 4. In 2009, with patronage of the town of Ravenna, she danced in the exhibition-show “To Evolve – A multimedial event between art and science”. Since 2010 che collaborates with Markus Stockhausen to the project”International Academy: Intuitive Music, Dance and More” in Bonn, as teacher and performer. With Dr. Massimo Franceschetti and Cultural Association Iride, she carries out workshops, courses and events related to communication and dance, such as Equilibrio with the painter Johann Rosenboom, with music, lectures and live painting, presented in several exhibitions (last one in 2010 in Leer (Brema).
